Trouble with Barrage & Runner builds
First of all, I'd like to say hi to all members of this forum since this is my first post
Second, I'd like a little guidance on the builds i have and how to use them.
When I started a Ranger character, i wanted to build a runner/single farmer.
There are several places where i found builds for single R/Mo farmers or runners.
The problem is... none of the builds work for me. If I want to try out the farming build, I die within 10 mins (no matter where I farm). And if I try the runner build, it goes well untill i get crippled or slowed down by other hex or spells like that.
Since I noticed that single farming is quite impossible for me to do, i decided to focus on running. Now i've heard that there are different builds for different runs.
The runs i'd like to do are:
- Ascalon - Yaks Bend
- Lions Arch - Ascalon
- Lions Arch - Sanctum Cay
- Yaks Bend - Lions Arch
well you get the idea...
This is the template code for my runner build at the moment:
OgMU0yHeX8MAnUDrE1MTAJWERCA
and this one for my Barrage/Sniper Ranger:
OgMU0wLizcGLek+D1HX4Fn4A
Maybe it's also important to say that i have Prohpecies and Factions only.
Any suggestion on how to improve these builds or maybe even rebuild them is welcome.
Thank you!

Builds seldom guarantee success, you have to know how to play the build and the area.
Likewise with running, having a build is fine, but typically you need to learn the patrols, how the build works, and how to react in different situations.
I'd recommend reading up on areas and methods, and experimenting until you can make a build work in the area it's made for. There is no substitute for knowing how to play.

Get used to these skills and their purpose. For practice I'd suggest runs from Ascalon to the nearby towns, then Yaks Bend. Follow up with running from Augury Rock to the Crystal Desert mission towns. Then Lion's Arch to Bergen to the Temple of Ages, from there you can run to the jungle and/or Sanctum Cay.
RoF and Throw Dirt don't seem so useful, you're better of without spending points in Protection and limiting yourself to 12 in Expertise and Healing Prayers, while blinding is more useful in a melee fight. [wiki]Dismiss Condition[/wiki] has a far shorter recharge then Purge Conditions and [wiki]Mending Touch[/wiki] is even better. [wiki]Healing Breeze[/wiki] could be replaced with [wiki]Restful Breeze[/wiki] heals more and cheaper then Healing Breeze, but requires better timing of skills.
The sniper didn't translate.

he has only prophecies and factions so mending touch, dismiss conditions and restful breeze are out of the option.
the ranger runner build I usually run has:
Escape->Dodge->Zojun's Haste for your running skills
Healing Breeze->Heal Area for your healing
Purge Conditions for Condition removal
Holy Veil->Remove Hex/Contemplation of Purity for Hex removal
the first 5 are pretty obvious, I preffer Purge over the other options because it removes a stack with no investment in prot. and if you are packed with conditions just run through it, stopping every second for a dismiss slows you down too much.
Veil is great for reducing the amount of hexes you receive and lets you remove key hexes either by canceling Veil or using Remove Hex/CoP.

Can you post the skills?
It isn't decoding on PvX and im not on MY GW computer atm
EDIT:cheers, DRGN.
Okay my answers are...build 1:RoF wouldn't serve well, and niether will Throw Dirt.
My opinion for change on that is bring Holy Veil, and Heal Area.
For Mending and Healing Breeze - switch to Restful Breeze, and Mending Touch.
Not sure about the spot on Purge Condition.
build 2: Use only 1 stance, Lightning Reflexes.
For self heal - remove the monk skills and take Antidote Signet and res.
Lose Storm Chaser for Troll Unguent.
lose the other 2 cancel stances for Savage Shot and D-Shot.

Decoded it in GW:
[skill]Escape[/skill][skill]Dodge[/skill][skill]Zojun's Haste[/skill][skill]Throw Dirt[/skill][skill]Reversal of Fortune[/skill][skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Purge Conditions[/skill][skill]Mending[/skill]
The second one is:
[skill]Barrage[/skill][skill]Live Vicariously[/skill][skill]Vigorous Spirit[/skill][skill]Throw Dirt[/skill][skill]Storm Chaser[/skill][skill]Whirling Defense[/skill][skill]Lightning Reflexes[/skill][skill]Dryder's Defenses[/skill]
Rangers aren't really my area so I can only give so much advice. Take Holy Veil in the runner to fight off Hexes. As for the farmer, what is it made to farm?

I know the second used to be able to farm Imps, till they put more Stone Summit in that area. Could also farm in Pongmei Valley and those Kirin, but I don't know if that still works.
